Volunteering for the Best Seat in the House is always a highlight of my month. Meeting so many wonderful children and families and seeing their examples of strength has given me a fresh perspective on life. The Best Seat in the House events provides support and a sense of community. I always leave the activities happy and with a full heart.

You guys are incredible! Whenever we come to Salt Lake for my kids treatments they run up to the reception desk to see if there is a Best Seat in the House event during our stay. Thank you for making our stay more enjoyable.

I have been volunteering for different events and causes most of my life. I love giving back and the feeling of helping others. As I look back on all my experiences, without a doubt my best volunteer experiences have been during the events that Ivan and the Best Seat in the House have hosted.
I have known Ivan for over 4 years now, and I can honestly say that I thought I was a good person until I met him. He cares so deeply for the causes he supports, and that shows through the amazing events he puts on.
One of my favorite experiences happened about 2 years ago. Ivan wanted to do something special for his birthday so he decided to throw a party for the families and children living at the Ronald McDonald House in Salt Lake City.
He spent countless hours preparing for the night, and gathered volunteers to come and dress up as Disney royalty. The part that I remember most is he asked that anyone who might be thinking of getting him a present to donate the money they would be spending on a present to the house.
That is just the kind of person Ivan is: selfless, caring, loving, and dedicated to making the world a better place.

Thank you for the amazing gift of the Utah Jazz tickets. It ended up being the only time Asher has eaten in nearly a week! We had a great time, and love hearing Asher say “Dee-feht” (defense” with everyone else. It lightened Julie’s mood with being in foster care for the holidays and introduced her to a world she never knew existed.

I don’t have words to express the gratitude I have for your kindness. I was crying in my room over not having money to buy Christmas presents for my kids and then you gave us toys from your toy drive and gave my kids a Christmas to remember. Thank you, thank you!!!

Every time I see Ivan’s name pop up on my phone, I know that he will be asking me to be part of something special. Ivan is the “real deal” and truly loves the people he serves. This guy really wants to make a difference and works way too hard to be doing this just for the praise. With every event he exhausts all his resources to make it a truly unique experience for those he is serving. I saw Ivan’s empathy for humanity from day 1 of volunteering and will consider him a friend and a fellow advocate for the underdog for life.
